2. The Parivahan Portal

The Parivahan portal is run by the government of India to provide insurance status for all types of vehicles.

• Visit the official website of Parivahan.

• Find and select the “Know your vehicle details” option.

• Fill in your vehicle's details, including your bike registration number.

• Hit the “search vehicle” option, and you will be able to see details of your bike insurance.

3. The mParivahan App

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways launched the mParivahan App for seamless and convenient access to a wide range of information related to vehicles. You can check the status of your bike's third-party insurance using the mParivahan App. Here’s how

• Download the mParivahan App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

• Fill in the basic details to launch the app.

• On the home screen, you will be able to find the “check vehicle status” option. Select the option.

• Here, you have to provide your vehicle registration number or your driver's license number to get the details of your vehicle. Hit search.

• On the screen, you will be able to see all the details on your bike, including the insurance policy details like insurance provider, policy type, validity, coverage, etc.

4. The Regional Transport Office Portal

Every Indian state has a designated Regional Transport Office portal that maintains the record of vehicle registration and insurance details. Here’s how you can check third-party bike insurance through the RTO portal:

• Visit the official website of the respective state RTO.

• On the website, you will be able to locate the “vehicle information” or “insurance status” option. Select either of these options.

• Next, you will be asked to fill in the vehicle details like vehicle registration number, chassis number etc.

• Submit the details, and the website will display all the information on your vehicle, including the status of your insurance policy.

5. The Insurance Company Portal

Apart from the above options you can also check the status of your bike insurance plan through the official website of the respective insurance company.
