Face Yoga: A Natural Way to Reduce Face Wrinkles

Some Types of Face Yoga Exercises

1. Forehead Smoother

According to Nazarian, the forehead smoother relaxes the facial muscles, especially the frontalis muscle which is responsible for giving forehead wrinkles; thus, by relaxing this muscle, the chances of forehead wrinkles reduce.

Steps to Perform Forehead Smoother:

1. In the first step, raise one arm straight after pressing the shoulders down.

2. Then, bring your hand down and keep your fingertips over the temple.

3. Now, slightly and smoothly press the area to raise your face and back. Then, set down your head on your shoulder. Keep your chest open while performing this step.

4. Stay in the same position and exhale slowly through your mouth.

5. Now, take your other arm out at an angle of 45 degrees. During exhalation, keep your tongue outwards towards the floor,

6. Repeat the process by changing the sides.

2. Eye Circles

According to the practitioners, this exercise does help in improving under-eye puffiness by increasing blood circulation. However, you must use light pressures while performing this exercise.

Steps to perform an Eye Circle

1. Keep your fingertips at the inner part of your eyebrows.

2. Give a slight tap with your fingertips on the inner side of your eyebrows.

3. Now, you must gently press your temples for a few seconds.

4. Then, it's time to give your cheekbone taps towards the interior corners of both eyes.

5. Repeat the same steps for approximately 30 to 40 seconds.

3. Neck Massage

The neck massage releases tension around your neck region and boosts the lymphatic drainage.

Steps to Perform Neck Massage

1. Slightly lean your head backwards.

2. Your fingers must be over the top of your neck. Then apply tender pressures while rolling your fingers towards your collarbones.

3. Then, press a few seconds on the collarbone before relaxing your fingers. You must continue doing the yoga for the next 30 seconds.

4. Jaw Unlocker

As the name suggests, this exercise improves the muscles of the jaw and neck region.

Steps to Perform Jaw Unlocker

1. In this face yoga exercise, you need to be seated. While sitting, use your left hand to make a fist and keep that fist outside of the jaw. The thumb must face downwards while doing so.

2. Now, move your head in the direction of the fist. The neck will feel a stretch while moving the head.

3. Keep your hand still, then slightly press down your jaw for a few seconds towards your jaw.

4. Release it gently and repeat the same process on the other side.
