Health insurance policies in market covers dental treatment arising out of accidental injuries and requiring hospitalization. For all other dental treatments customer has to pay from his/her pocket. This product is intended to fill that gap in your health insurance policies.

The sole purpose of buying CHOMP is to get financial support at the time of dental medical emergency. Hence, it is important to read the below steps to know how CHOMP claims process works differently for cashless claims and reimbursement claim requests.
Fill up the pre-auth form at the network hospital for cashless approval
Once hospital intimates us, we send you the status update
Hospitalisation can be done on the basis of pre-auth approval
At the time of discharge, we settle the claim directly with hospital
You need to pay the bills initially and preserve the original invoices
Post hospital discharge send us all your invoices and treatment documents
We verify your claim related invoices and treatment documents
We send the approved claim amount to your bank account.

Login with your registered mobile number and book an appointment with the nearest dentist
Avail cashless dental treatment at the network clinic
Dentist will send the cashless request to HDFC ERGO
HDFC ERGO will scrutinize all the received documents and convey the final stand on the claim
Visit the claims section on our portal www.hdfcergo.com and go to Chomp section
Login with your registered mobile number and upload the necessary documents in the reimbursement section
Once you have shared the documents, HDFC ERGO doctors team will review all the documents. Post satisfactory receipt of all necessary documents the claim will be processed in 7 days from the time of last document is received as per Terms & Conditions by HDFC ERGO.

Yes, there are waiting periods ranging between 3 to 12 months under this product depending on the type of treatment
No, there is no requirement of undergoing dental checkup before buying Chomp
