The email witht he link to enter the quote number wasnt working. the buying shouldve happened on the 31st of Dec 2013 itself if this glitch wasn't there. i called the customer care number twice and no agent could help me make the payment on 31st Dec 2013. I was told I shall receive a call-back from HDFC Ergo in 24 hours. one agent even said i am registering your case on a priority basis, and yet there was no call back. both times the agents acted like robots - not using their brains to help out a customer who wanted t pay HDFC ERGO money. Imagine what happens when a customer has to receive money from you. They kept repeating themselves that I will get a call-back in response to all questions I asked. How is that effective? A simple solution of making an online payment to HDFC ERGO took 3 days. That's a bad customer experience.
