15 Foods to Cure Morning Sickness and Nausea While Pregnant

1. Salted crackers

It is recommended that you keep salty crackers at hand if you are used to waking up with morning sickness. The quick snack can keep your morning sickness at bay, and is a notoriously good pregnancy food as well!.

2. Lemon

There exist a number of neutralizing acids in lemon which create bicarbonate compounds when they react with the acids in your stomach, aiding in helping you soothe your stomach and ease your nausea or morning sickness. From lemon candy to lemon tarts, the possibilities are endless.

3. Ginger

In India ginger is commonly used for its medicinal values to treat an assortment of illnesses, and the root is prominent in Chinese medicine as well. It is recommended that you consume foods with ginger in them if you have morning sickness. Ginger candies or ginger tea can both be excellent options!

4. Cold food

If you have morning sickness or nausea, especially common in pregnant women, you would want to avoid foods that trigger your nausea. Serials are a safe bet. They are however not the best pregnancy food and you might want to avoid consuming them with milk.

11. Applesauce

As the name suggests, this is essentially a sauce made out of apples and can be consumed if you have morning sickness. People often recommend eating applesauce if you are throwing up as it soothes the stomach.

12. Peppermint

Peppermint is often considered a ‘comfort’ ingredient for a number of people, who resolve its calming effects and benefits. You could eat a peppermint candy or consume it in your tea as well! It can also make for a good pregnancy food as it poses no threat to mother or baby.

13. Herbal Teas

14. Watermelon
