Ola Launches Its E-Bike Roadster X Starting at Rs 74,999

Ola Electric has officially launched its first electric motorbike(E-bike), the Roadster X, with prices starting at Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom). The higher variant is priced at Rs 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom. The deliveries of the Roadster X are set to begin by mid-March. Production started last month at Ola’s Futurefactory in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. The Roadster X comes in two versions: X and X+.

The Ola Roadster X features a sharp, minimalist body with a sleek rectangular LED headlamp cluster with an integrated DRL, a flat single-piece seat, and a pillion grab rail. The battery pack sits below a faux fuel tank, which also provides a small storage compartment. It is currently available in five colours options namely Ceramic White, Pine Green, Industrial Silver, Stellar Blue, and Anthracite.

The Roadster X comes with three battery choices: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh. All versions are powered by a 7 kW electric motor that generates 9.4 bhp power, allowing a top speed of 118 kmph and 0-40 kmph acceleration in 3.1 seconds. The top-spec 4.5 kWh variant offers a range of 252 km per charge.

Speaking of Roadster X+, it comes with two battery options: 4.5 kWh and 9.1 kWh. It packs a more powerful 11 kW motor that delivers 14.75 bhp power, hitting a top speed of 125 kmph and 0-40 kmph in just 2.7 seconds. The 9.1 kWh battery (with 4680 Bharat Cell) boasts a massive 501 km range per charge.
