KTM India has officially launched the RC 160 in India, priced from ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the brand’s entry-level offering in its supersport lineup. Positioned below the RC 200, the RC 160 replaces the discontinued RC 125, just as the 160 Duke has taken over from the 125 Duke.

The RC 160 draws strong design cues from its bigger sibling, the RC 200, featuring a similar LED headlamp with DRLs, an aerodynamic windshield, polygonal rear-view mirrors and a fuel tank that flows seamlessly into the split seat design. Its fairing graphics closely mirror the RC 200’s, while the “RC 160” badge and KTM’s iconic “Ready To Race” branding give it a distinct identity.

Powering the motorcycle is a 164 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, tuned to deliver 19 hp at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. KTM claims a top speed of 118 kmph, making it one of the most powerful bikes in its segment.

The chassis comprises a trellis frame with inverted 37 mm front forks and a rear monoshock, while braking duties are handled by 320 mm front and 230 mm rear discs with dual-channel ABS. Additional features include an LCD instrument cluster with connectivity and navigation, full LED lighting, and an assist & slipper clutch, enhancing both style and performance.
