Kawasaki has refreshed its retro-modern icon, the Z900RS, blending old-school charm with cutting-edge tech. While it continues to channel the spirit of the legendary Z1, the 2025 update gives it a solid tech and performance boost.
Powered by the 948cc inline-four, liquid-cooled engine, now tuned to produce 114 hp and 98 Nm of torque, paired with a smooth 6-speed gearbox. The biggest upgrade comes in the electronics department; the bike now features ride-by-wire, unlocking cruise control and smoother throttle response for effortless highway miles.
Adding to the fun factor is a bidirectional quickshifter, allowing crisp upshifts and seamless downshifts, ideal for both spirited rides and city commutes. The Z900RS also gets an IMU-based electronics suite, introducing Kawasaki Cornering Management Function (KCMF) for improved stability through turns.
The suspension setup includes a 41mm USD front fork and rear monoshock, while braking duties are handled by 300mm twin front discs and a 250mm rear disc. Opt for the SE variant and you’re rewarded with Brembo callipers, steel-braided lines and an Öhlins S46 rear shock, a package designed for sharper handling and a premium ride feel.
