CRA Motorsports has launched the Student Moto Tech Challenge (SMTC) 2026, giving engineering students hands-on motorsport experience. Scheduled for February 10-12, 2026, at the prestigious Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore, Kerala, this comprehensive program combines academic learning with practical application.
The first two days will focus on certification workshops covering essential motorsport skills, including team management, ECU remapping, suspension settings, sprocket and tyre management, as well as rider development courses. Students will also learn vehicle dynamics, racing tactics, and telematics systems. Day three turns theory into practice as certified participants compete in four key challenges:
• Pit Stop Management
• Drag Run
• Time Attack
• Best Manager categories.
The winning team will earn a prestigious six-month internship with the CRA Motorsports Team in Malaysia, providing invaluable international exposure. Registration starts on June 23, 2025, marking an exciting opportunity for aspiring automotive engineers to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world motorsport applications.
