BMW Motorrad is gearing up to shake things up in the mid-cap adventure bike space with its upcoming F 450 GS, which will make its global debut at EICMA 2025. The German brand has dropped a fresh teaser that hints at the bike’s arrival, with the ‘F 450’ badge taking centre stage.
Under the hood, the F 450 GS packs an all-new 450cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, co-developed with TVS Motor Company. The motor is expected to produce around 48 hp, and interestingly, reports suggest that the adventure tourer might feature a semi-automatic gearbox alongside a traditional manual option.
Design-wise, BMW seems to have carried forward the essence of its concept model. Expect a muscular fuel tank, sharply contoured side fairings, and a distinct beak-like front inspired by the R 1300 GS, complete with ‘X’-shaped LED DRLs. The tail section is sleek and sporty, adding to its purposeful stance.
The bike will ride on 19/17-inch alloy wheels, backed by USD forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock. Feature highlights could include all-LED lighting, multiple ride modes, cornering ABS, traction control, and a 6.5-inch TFT display.
Once launched, the F 450 GS will take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Honda NX500, and Brixton Crossfire Storr 500.
