The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand has announced that, effective May 1, 2025, all foreign visitors must complete the digital TM6 immigration form, referred to as the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), before entering the country. This requirement applies to travelers from both visa-exempt and visa-required nations, regardless of their mode of entry—be it air, land, or sea. The TDAC system is set to replace the traditional paper-based TM6 form, which had been suspended in recent years. By transitioning to a digital platform, the Thai government aims to simplify entry procedures, reduce processing times at immigration checkpoints, and improve the accuracy of data collection for incoming travelers. This move aligns with global trends toward digitalization in immigration processes, enhancing both efficiency and security.
