Datin Noraliza Abd Rahman and Datuk Taha Ahmad, both 56, have dedicated 33 years to exploring the world on motorcycles. Their journey began in the mid-90s with a ride to Golok, Thailand, on a Kawasaki Vulcan 800. Over the years, they’ve upgraded to touring bikes like the Honda Gold Wing GL1800 and BMW R 1250 GS Adventure, enabling longer expeditions. Their adventures have taken them across ASEAN countries, India, and Pakistan, including the Himalaya expedition from Delhi to Leh, where they crossed the Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable pass. They also embarked on a 14-day Borneo Ride covering Kuching to Kota Kinabalu. The couple emphasizes the importance of preparation, safety, and resilience in their travels. They plan future trips, including a Balkan ride and a hiking expedition to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal.
