Lufthansa Flight Returns Due to Bomb Threat

Lufthansa flight LH752, en route from Frankfurt to Hyderabad, India, was compelled to make a mid-air U-turn and return to Germany on June 15 following a bomb threat. Hyderabad airport authorities confirmed receiving an email detailing a bomb threat targeting the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner while it was still outside Indian airspace.

Out of an abundance of caution, the flight, carrying passengers to Hyderabad, was advised to divert back to its origin. Lufthansa confirmed the incident, stating that the safety of passengers and crew is their top priority. Affected passengers were provided with overnight accommodation in Frankfurt and were scheduled to continue their journey the following day. A bomb threat assessment committee has been formed, and further investigation into the incident is underway.
