Mercedes-Benz has expanded its performance range in India with the launch of the second-generation AMG GT 63 and AMG GT 63 Pro, marking the return of the AMG GT series after a five-year departure from the Indian market.
Priced at Rs. 3 crores for the basic GT 63 and Rs. 3.65 crores for the Pro version (ex-showroom), both models are powered by a hand-built 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system.
The GT 63 makes 585 HP and 800 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0-100 km/hr in 3.2 seconds, while the GT 63 Pro gives 612 HP and 850 Nm, making the same acceleration in 3.1 seconds with optional Cup 2R tyres. The Pro model also features improved cooling, updated brakes, and lightweight wheels.
Key highlights include a 2+2 seating layout, 12.3-inch digital display, 11.9-inch tablet with MBUX interface, and multiple driving modes, including a specialised Drift mode. Deliveries for the GT 63 are scheduled to begin in Q4 2025, with the Pro version following in early 2026.
