Recently, Hyundai’s luxury arm, Genesis, has unveiled its latest model, the Magma GT Concept. The car features a mid-rear engine layout, sleek lines, muscular fenders and a sharply raked rear deck. Moreover, at the front of the vehicle, it retains the signature dual-blade headlamps set on a reverse-hinged clamshell bonnet. Apart from this, the vehicle has flush-mounted handles on its butterfly doors and sharply sculpted intake vents positioned above the rear fenders. An integrated roof duct channels air efficiently, while the powertrain rests beneath a body-coloured cover fitted with vents to disperse heat.
At the rear, the Magma GT has a unique twin-bar LED lightbar that stretches into the fenders and is complemented by an illuminated Genesis wordmark at the centre. This lighting arrangement is integrated into a substantial rear vent that not only elevates the visual impact but also assists in drawing heat away from the powertrain.
Genesis has yet to reveal the full powertrain specifications, but early indications point to a V8 engine rather than a fully electric system. The brand is also evaluating both hybrid and pure petrol engine formats to balance endurance with high performance for both road and track applications.
