There is a big section of the Indian population that lives in a dilemma — go to a private hospital for treatment and risk losing their savings, or go to a government hospital and wait to get medical attention, especially when time is of the essence. This is why most families depend heavily on their health insurance plans to help them deal with medical emergencies. Based on medical needs and affordability, one can choose to buy individual or family health insurance. If you are covering your elderly parents, you must opt for critical illness insurance due to the increased risk of developing critical ailments with age. However, to help families from economically weaker sections of society, the Government of India has implemented the Ayushman Bharat Yojana or Golden Card insurance. But how to know if your application for the Ayushman Card has been approved? Read on to learn about the Ayushman card name list check.
If you have applied for the Ayushman Card under the PM-JAY health insurance scheme and want to know the card status, there are two ways you can check – from the official PM-JAY website and the app.
Visit the official website https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in/
Log in as Beneficiary, enter your registered mobile number, and select the authentication mode for sending OTP. The authentication mode can be your Aadhaar Number.
After you enter the OTP, you will be taken to the Beneficiary Search page.
Provide the required information to search, such as ration card number, PM-JAY ID, or Family ID. You can also search the list by providing your location, such as your district, village/town, or state. After providing the information, click on Search.
The beneficiary list will be displayed. With the Ayushman card check name list, you can search for your name on the list and check the status of the card under the Card Status column.
Download the PM-JAY app on your mobile phone.
Log in to the app as Beneficiary by providing details such as your mobile number.
Select Search on the Beneficiary page. Provide your identification details, such as your Aadhaar Number, PM-JAY ID, and/or your location like state, district, or village/town.
The next page will display the list of cards linked to your Aadhaar Number along with the current status of the cards.
If your Ayushman Bharat Card has not been approved, you can contact the designated authority or the National Health Authority (NHA) of your state to understand the reason for rejection. You may have to apply again with the necessary corrections and redo the KYC authentication process if needed. You can also check it online on the website to know why the application has been rejected. To avoid rejection and redoing the process, make sure you fill out the application form with the correct details, provide all the required documents, and also verify if you meet the eligibility criteria.
If you find the application has been rejected without valid reasons, you can file your grievance online or through the dedicated helpline number.
Now that you know how to check the name in the Ayushman Card list, you should also be aware of the categories regarding the status of the card – Approved, Pending, and Not Generated. While Approved means the application has been successfully verified and approved, Pending means the application is yet to be verified. If the status is Not Generated, it means you have to apply again. Based on the status of your card, you have to take the necessary action.
