Nvidia has joined the India Deep Tech Alliance as a founding member and strategic adviser, helping drive a major push behind India’s deep-technology startup ecosystem. The alliance, launched in September with an initial $1 billion commitment, has now secured more than $850 million in additional pledges from new investors including Qualcomm Ventures, InfoEdge Ventures and others. Nvidia’s role will involve providing technical guidance, training and policy input to startups working on advanced fields such as AI, chips, space and robotics. The move addresses the persistent funding gap for Indian deep-tech ventures, which captured about one-fifth of India’s total startup funding despite reporting strong growth.
