Improved Healthcare For CGHS Beneficiaries Promises Health Ministry

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has announced a collaboration with The Quality Council of India to transform the healthcare experience of all the beneficiaries under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) ecosystem to ensure better treatments received by them and improve transparency in the process that will also address several key areas. The association will also focus on enhancing the quality of services offered and outline a comprehensive approach. The MoU aims to support CGHS facilities in achieving NABH/NABL accreditation and build a network or capable healthcare providers who can deliver quality services.

A crucial focus of this collaboration will also be to ensure reguar review and evaluation of the various stakeholders along with improving quality of drugs and storage facilities, alongside modernisation of procurement and inventory management with improved infrastructure, products and processes.
