Researchers have introduced OncoMark, a new AI framework built to analyse and predict cancer cell behaviour. Trained on genetic data from 3.1 million cells across 14 cancer types, OncoMark evaluates critical processes such as immune evasion and metastasis that drive tumour growth and treatment resistance. Tested on five datasets, it achieved 96 per cent accuracy. The team now plans to integrate OncoMark into clinical workflows and expand its use to blood cancers and other rare cancer types.

A recent study involving more than 29,000 female nurses suggests a strong link between high consumption of ultra-processed foods and an increased risk of colorectal cancer in younger adults. Those who consumed large amounts of these foods were found to be up to 45% more likely to be diagnosed with colorectal cancer than those with lower intake.
