Salaam Namaste is Siddarth Anand’s directorial debut starring Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta. The story focuses on two modern Indians, Nicky and Amber living in Melbourne trying to figure out their relationship. The story talks about what happens when they get in a relationship and Amber gets pregnant which leads to a rift in the relationship. This rom-com starts with a fun relationship to a sad breakup.

3. Good Newwz

Good Newwz stars Akshay Kumar and is an interesting take on what happens when the same surname couple’s IVF attempt to have a baby gets mixed up. The hilarity ensues when they realize that the sperms have been mixed and they're stuck in the situation to either accept what they get or reject their half child. This comedy-drama keeps the audience engaged and makes for a comedic watch.

4. What to Expect When You're Expecting

This comedy-drama flick stars some big names such as Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz. It talks about the lives of five couples whose lives are intertwined by impending parenthood. The journey of the characters showcases the ups and downs in the day-to-day lives of pregnant mothers. The interesting and varied experiences of the lead characters and several funny moments in the movie make it a wonderful watch. Just sit back, relax and enjoy.

5. Away We Go (2009)

John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph's starrer Away We Go is a story about a couple and their misadventures on their road trip around the United States of America to find the perfect place to raise their daughter. In this adventure comedy-drama, the couple’s interactions with their friends, family, and strangers they meet during their journey and what transpires make it an unforgettable road trip. The message it tries to give is that the home is where the heart is.

6. Baby Mama (2008)

When Tina Fey and Amy Poehler come together, the end product has to be a hilarious one and Baby Mama is nothing short of a laugh-out-loud comedy. It is a story about a successful single businesswoman who, when planning to have a baby of her own, discovers that she is infertile. Determined to be a mother, she decides to hire an unlikely surrogate from south Philadelphia. It is a story about what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. It is a perfect watch if you are looking for a light comedy.

7. Knocked Up (2007)

This Judd Apatow directorial is a story about what happens when two polar opposites have to deal with an unplanned pregnancy resulting from a one-night stand. With Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann’s characters adding to the fun, Knocked Up is a heartwarming, funny, and silly story that makes for an interesting watch.

8. Baby Boom (1987)

Diane Keaton stars in this late 1980s movie about a successful advertising executive whose life changes when she has to inherit a baby girl after the death of her distant cousin. She ends up losing her job and her boyfriend and finds it hard to juggle the work-life and taking care of the baby. The chaos and turmoil brought to her life by the baby resulted in her leaving New York City and moving to Vermont to start again. The film is filled with funny and uplifting moments with a wonderful performance by Diane Keaton.

9. Nine Months (1995)

This Rom-com from the mid 90s stars Hugh Grant and Julian Moore in the lead roles with Robin Williams in a beautiful cameo. The plot of this movie is about a child psychologist Samuel Faulkner and ballet teacher Rebecca Taylor who are in a live-in relationship. Samuel is not too keen on getting married and having children and is happy with the way life is going but Rebecca is pro-marriage and wishes to be a mother someday. The change occurs when Rebecca announces she is pregnant and what ensues are funny sequences showcasing Samuel’s struggles when dealing with issues that come with impending fatherhood.

10. She's Having a Baby (1988)

She's Having a Baby stars Kevin Bacon and is a story about two newlyweds who fall apart when Kevin Bacon realises that they’re going to have a baby. The comedy-drama picks up the pace when their love life is turned upside down and they realise how unprepared they are to become parents.
