Currently, there is only one new Indian diplomatic mission in Vietnam, the Consulate General office in Danang city that has not been officially opened yet and will be opened in the near future soon in 2023.
Danang is one of the largest economic centres in the central coastal region of Vietnam. To enhance the Act East policy of India and strengthen the bond with Vietnam and other ASEAN countries, it was agreed to establish a new consulate in Danang.
