Steps to make Sapota Milkshake

• Clean the sapotas thoroughly before cutting each one into two halves.

• Remove the seeds. Use a spoon to take out the flesh from the peels.

• Add the sapota pulp to a blender.

• Add a few spoons of breastmilk or formula milk (if your baby is less than 12 months old) or a cup of lukewarm boiled milk (if your baby is over a year old).

• Blend the ingredients well and bring them to a puree-like consistency.

• Feed your baby a small quantity first to see how he/she reacts before continuing to feed the remaining portion. Your baby will love this because of the natural sweetness of the fruit.

Some tips

• If your kid is over 12 months old, you can add a teaspoon of honey to this recipe. Do not use honey when giving the milkshake to infants, as it can lead to a severe ailment called infant botulism.

• Always use freshly pumped breastmilk or freshly prepared formula milk for this milkshake for infants less than 1 year.

Health Benefits

Sapotas are excellent sources of vitamins A, B & C, copper, potassium, selenium, phosphorous, magnesium, calcium, and iron. Sapota milkshake is one of the best ways of introducing sapota to babies.
