Even today, authorities have preserved nearly 15 temples, among which Wat Mahathat is the most important. This place was established nearly 800 years ago and served as the capital of Siam for over 100 years. It is currently recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This vast park also contains Sri Satchanalai National Park, Ramkhamhaeng National Park, the Royal Palace, and the Ramkhamhaeng National Museum.

6. Ayutthya

This is one of the most vast and magnificent cities in the world. It served as the capital of the 14th-century Siamese kingdom. The 18th-century Burmese invasions left it in ruins.
