Awareness about mental health among people has increased, but it still has a long way to go. If you are feeling low or stressed out, you should speak with your friends or family members and address the problem. Not talking about the problem will only worsen the situation. You can also indulge in some activities that gives you joy and may help improve your mental health.

Listening to Music

Music provides calmness to your mind and helps balance any mood. It is advisable to listen to soothing music or your favourite songs to cheer up your mind. You can also learn to play a musical instrument like the guitar. Learning to play a new instrument or taking signing lessons is also a great way to relieve stress.

Dancing

Dancing is not only good for your mental health but it improves your physical health also. It helps in the self-expression, socialising, and uplifting your mood. You can join dance classes to improve your dancing skills and learn different dance forms. And, you can also just put on your favourite music and start grooving at home.

Exercising

If you workout regularly, it will keep you in good shape and reduce stress and improve mental health. Regular exercising is said to improve your concentration level, makes you more focused and keeps you active. Also, you should exercise to boost your mental health because workout increases the production of your brain's feel-good neurotransmitters, known as endorphins. For working out, you need not join a gym; you can even workout at home with few basic equipments like a yoga mat, skipping rope and resistance bands.

Cycling

Cycling helps reduce the cortisol (stress hormones) level in the body. It also boosts the production of serotonin, which helps induce good sleep. Apart from this, cycling can also help in weight loss and tone up lower body muscles.
