We aim to make claim process as smooth as possible for your convenience. Here's how it works:

Modes of Claim Intimation :

  • Mobile App
    - Simply download HDFC ERGO Mobile App - Insurance Portfolio Organizer from Playstore. Link your policy by providing few simple details and Register a claim
  • Call & Register
    - Register your claim by calling our customer care toll free number on 1800-2-700-700 (Accessible from India only) and get your claim number.

Cashless/Network Garages Claim Process :

  • Locate our network garages on hdfcergo.com or call our toll free no for details
  • Drive or have your vehicle towed to the nearest network garage.
  • All damages / losses will be surveyed and assessed by our surveyor.
  • Fill in the claim form and provide the related documents as mentioned in the form.
  • You will be updated through SMS/Emails on every stage of the claim.
  • Once the vehilce is ready, pay your share of the claim consisting of Compulsory deductible, depreciation etc to the garage and drive off. The balance would be settled by us directly with the network garage
  • Receive the claims computation sheet with entire break up for your ready records.

Reimbursement / Non Network Garages Claim Process :

  • Intimate a claim on our Mobile App or Toll free helpline no
  • All damages / losses will be surveyed and assessed by our surveyor.
  • Submit the duly filled and signed claim form along with the documents as mentioned in the form
  • On receipt of complete documents, the claim would be processed
  • You will be updated through SMS/Emails on every stage of the claim.
  • Payment would be made through NEFT if opted, or through Cheque
  • You will receive the claims computation sheet with entire break up for your ready records

Some important points which would help you in the Claims Procedures

  • File an FIR at the nearest police station in case of property damage, bodily injury, theft and major damages.
  • If damage is a major one, the accident may be reported before the vehicle is removed from the spot so that the insurers can arrange for spot inspection of damage.
  • In the event of injury, death, third party property damage, theft, and damage due to malicious act, riot, strike and terrorist activity, immediate information to the police station concerned is essential.
