Parivar Suraksha Bima policy covers persons between the age of 18 and 60 years who
are Members (in groups) of Micro Finance Institutions, Non Government Organisations,
Government Sponsored Organisations and such affinity groups / institutions in rural
and social sector. Members of their family too can be insured in the following manner:
- Under Section I – Only the Spouse (not exceeding 60 years of age)
- Under Section II – Spouse (not exceeding 60 years of age), Dependent
Children (between the age of 3 months and 18 years) and Dependent Parents (not exceeding
60 years of age).
Family Floater option is available wherein, one single policy provides accident
insurance and hospitalisation cover of entire family.
- Accidental Death:Covers the insured in case of loss of life in an accident.
- Permanent Disablement:Pays a benefit if the insured is permanently disabled
in an accident.
- Hospitalisation expenses:Pays a reimbursement for medical expenses incurred
if the insured or a member of insured family requires hospitalisation as an in-patient
arising out of accidental bodily injury sustained or illness/diseases contracted.
Optional Benefits
- Dependent Child Education Benefit:Pays a benefit per dependent child below
the age of 21 years (upto a maximum of two dependent children) by way of an education
grant on accidental death or permanent total disablement of the Insured Member.
- Dependent Girl Child Wedding Benefit:Pays a benefit for marriage of only
one dependent girl child below the age of 21 years on accidental death or permanent
total disablement of the Insured Member.

The premium payable on the policy would be dependent on the benefits purchased.
The policy does not cover the following:
- Pre-existing disablement
- Death, injury or disablement due to intentional self-injury, suicide or attempted
Suicide.
- Whilst under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drug
- Mountaineering or whilst engaging in aviation, ballooning or in hazardous sports
of any kind whatsoever
- War and nuclear perils.
- Breach of law with criminal intent
- War and nuclear perils.
- The cost of spectacles and contact lenses or hearing aids.
- Any dental treatment or surgery which is a corrective, cosmetic or aesthetic procedure,
including wear and tear, unless arising from disease or injury and which requires
hospitalisation for treatment.
This an illustrative list of Exclusions. For detailed list kindly refer the policy
wordings.
Claims shall be assessed and paid on the basis of the relevant documents submitted
to the Company. For claims under Accidental Death or Permanent Disablement cover
the documentation required would differ from those required for claiming Reimbursement
of Hospital Expenses.
On the occurrence of any event due to which a claim may arise under this policy,
prompt notice must be given to the Company
